Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-06-27T18:53Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-06-27T18:53:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
HAL: Halo CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Faint CME observed to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2, very faintly in SOHO LASCO C3 and GOES CCOR-1. This CME front carries some uncertainty with it as the leading edge in STEREO A COR2 overlaps with the same triangulation for CME: 2026-06-27T19:12Z, which features a front to the SE in SOHO and GOES. The source for this CME is likely far-sided, with a newly developed active region located around W170-W180 (previously located ~W150-W160 at 2026-06-26T07:09Z in Solar Orbiter PHI). It may be visible in STEREO A EUVI 195 over its west limb starting 2026-06-27T15:05Z, but this is quite early. Solar Orbiter STIX observed an estimated GOES-equivalent X1 [M6, X2] flare from this approximate area of the disk peaking at 2026-06-27T18:20Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Triangulation between SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2. There is uncertainty in this analysis due to this front in STEREO A COR2 also tracking well with a separate feature in SOHO, for CME: 2026-06-27T19:12; as such it is plausible there was a farsided simultaneous eruption that overlaps in COR2 but not in C2. |
